One thing I have not done for a while is peruse my comic collection. While I recall an interest or pursuit of much it, there are quite a few oddities. Here is one. It is an issue of "The Prez: First Teen President". This could only have happened in the seventies. First, you have the youth culture, who know what is up far more than those stuffy "adults". You have the relaxed dress code of executive office which consists of a logo on a turtle neck and bell-bottoms. The most telling, perhaps, is his cabinet which consists of various nature creatures, an indian, and a monkey. Just weird wild stuff from the dark realms of my youth. Oh, and the bad guys are Russians who seek to overtake us in some sort of chess match. Enjoy.
You know me, I'm all for monkeys so your comic of choice makes my day. Interesting elements include the eagle at the top of the flagpole which is reminiscent of the reichsadler only it's facing the opposite way. Also, the shadows cast by the evil chess men are like Batman's shadow. What's with that. Also, that bird is much like the one that dive bombed me this morning thus causing me to yelp in someone's ear. Robby Fish Head is Lurch and Lurch is Robby Fish Head. Good day to you!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the comic must start with a lengthy campaign to amend the consitution. How else could this teen become president? Also, I see there is a wild Indian on the cover. I hope the teen "Prez" will take all necessary measures to deal with this threat to our womenfolk.
ReplyDeleteEh, it's not like Prez's cabinet could be any worse than the one we had to the last eight years.
